How Does It Work?
Signal Web Desktop utilizes your existing Business Objects Enterprise architecture and requires no additional software in order to run. The Business Objects Enterprise web interface is embedded within Signal, allowing users to easily and seamlessly navigate between Signal and existing Operational reports. By embedding your existing architecture within Signal, you're also able to take advantage of your existing security settings, making the Signal Web Desktop near maintenance-free.
The information provided within Signal is generated directly from Crystal Reports. Existing reports developed within Crystal Reports are 'pushed' out to Signal and are made available for viewing. This 'Push Technology' enables quicker access to data, as reports are readily available for viewing.
